Hey there! I'm so glad you're here! I'm Monica Brown, a wedding photographer from Indianapolis who loves to celebrate couples & photographers. I hope you enjoy browsing through recent work, advice for brides & photographers, and taking a peek into our personal life!
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend celebrating with your family and friends- I know we sure did! Before I share a little bit about our weekend, I wanted to point us back to the real reason behind Easter- Christ is risen! Over the weekend, one of my favorite photographers, Katelyn James, posted this beautiful eulogy from a couple she photographed 2.5 years ago. It really struck a cord with me in preparing for Easter so I wanted to share it with you. Click here’s to view this powerful video
I watched it while we were in route to our family celebration on Saturday and balled my eyes out. I was able to compose myself before we got there but DANG, that’s really hard, and really good news (the best news actually), guys.
Our weekend felt extremely full- and that included our bellies and hearts. Friday Drew and I hung out with one of our best friends, soaked up the sunshine, played mini-golf, Spikeball, Frisbee, and ate ice cream. Saturday we had a big cookout with family where we broke out Spikeball (we LOVE playing!) and Croquet, had mini photo shoot and chased around my adorable cousin. We gathered with more family Sunday to celebrate Jesus’s resurrection! After church we had a feast, played outside and I edited some photos (below) from the weekend. I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling so refreshed, and physically tired, as we head into Monday.
Here’s a peek into the awesome weather & family gatherings from this Easter weekend:
The Wagner men are notorious for playing super competitive and long winded games that involve one man domination (i.e. RISK, Chess, and Croquet). You can expect one of these will be played at every family gathering 🙂
Showin’ off her dandelion
My brothers & husband- they look all happy and friendly until they start competing in croquet…
Aleida is really into pointing out birds, dogs and her toes
Grandma Katie- She is one of my favorite people and she has an amazing legacy and story– you’ll get to know more about her soon!
Classic- my dad with a stick trying to rally all of us for a game
Just chilling with her granddad and uncle
Classic sibling picture
Hope you have a great week!
XOXO
