Behind the Scenes

I’m so excited to share some of the BTS of our recent Phellowship event on December 2nd! You can check out some of my favorites from the Fine Art Styled Shoot here and the Colorful Styled Shoot here. Throughout our planning and the actual event, I had so much fun working with & getting to know all 25 vendors + 15 photographers who participated in this community event! I hope you enjoy taking a peek at the day! All the images below are a combo of mine & my Phellowship partner n’ crime, Kelsie Lynn Photography.

So what had happened was…

• We started off the day with brief introductions of the attending photographers and vendors.
• Soon after, everyone jumped right into the calligraphy workshop by Jillian & Jordan with Loveleigh Loops. I’ve been following Loveleigh Loops for quite some time now so this was something I was SO excited all the photographers would get to experience!
• Meanwhile, the vendors were busy bees wrapping up the two styled shoots
• Kari with KariMe Photography (and she’s the Columbus Rising Tide Society leader!) was our very first guest speaker. She gave an encouraging + inspiring talk about her journey, how community has impacted her life, and how it can transform our businesses. I loved getting to sit and listen to this!!
• After Kari’s talk, we all ate a delicious taco bar lunch courtesy of my Sam’s Club, Kroger, and my parents haha. Kari and a few of the vendors were able to join for lunch as well which was great!
• After lunch, Kelsie took the photographers to swap head shots while I headed over to the styled shoots to make sure everything was ready to go! When we say the vendors are the real MVPs…we meant it!! None of this would have been possible without all their hard work & creativity! 
• We split up into two groups- One to photograph the Fine Art Styled Shoot in Opal and Fern and the other to photograph the Colorful & Bold Styled Shoot in Ashley Lynn Photography’s studio. After an hour & 2o minutes, we switched shoots!  This was probably my favorite part of the day. It was SO cool to see our 6 months of planning come to life and to share it with so many people!
• After the two rotations, everyone headed back to our home base in Goodness and Grace Photography’s studio.
• Next up was our second guest speaker, Kaitlin with Elysian Market  (who is also the Cincinnati Rising Tide Society Leader!) who really focused on the whole idea of #communityovercompetition and what that practically looks like in our businesses. To take it one step further, she even organized a Christmas ornament decorating activity where we added paint to each others ornaments to show that together, we can make a masterpiece. This was literally the perfect end to the day!
• Once we all finished our ornaments, we quickly headed back to the head shots location to snag a group photo and wrap up our day!

To say it was a jammed packed day would be an understatement, but it was SO much fun! Check out all the incredible vendors, who made this vision come to life, after the images below!
