We are a husband and wife photography team based out of Indianapolis, Indiana who specialize in destination weddings. I, Monica, am the dreamer, lead photographer, primary communicator, and detail guru behind our business. Drew is the second shooter, tech support, comedic relief, pack mule, and manager of all things business.
We met the very first week of college at Miami (in Ohio) through a college ministry we were both involved in. I thought he was immature and he thought I was headstrong. We stayed acquaintances until one fateful day our junior year of college...

I lived with 7 of my best friends junior & senior year of college. Needless to say, Drew had his work cut out for him! He came over to our place & we cooked spaghetti squash topped with pesto & bacon, strawberry feta salad and pumpkin bars. We played 20 questions and danced around the kitchen to Spanish music. Food and dancing- he knew the way to my heart!

THE PROPOSAL
Drew proposed at our favorite date spot in Hueston Woods State Park. With the help of our close friends, it was decked out with candles, lanterns, and rose petals. When we pulled up to our spot that evening, I was SO confused! I kept asking "What's going on?","Is this for us?" He just laughed and led me down the path. Drew handed me a card that explained why he wanted to marry me. I used the candles to read the sweet letter and when I turned around, he was on his knee. We were so excited he put the ring on the wrong hand at first! We soaked it in together and a few minutes later, our friends emerged to hug & greet us. He then whisked me away to Texas Road house for my all time favorite meal: steak and potatoes. Drew scarfed down his meal in relief and I barely touched mine in shock. After dinner, we drove to Drew's parents house where we were greeted, tackled and hugged by more friends and family. It was so much fun to celebrate the night away with some of our favorite people!

Our wedding has been one of our very favorite days yet! Aside from accepting Jesus, being married is the BEST thing we've ever done!! Since we personally love marriage so much, it feels very fitting that our job revolves around celebrating marriage! Check out our full wedding day on the blog here! We welcomed our oldest daughter, Nora Sue, into the world in October of 2020, Ava Mae in April of 2022 & Zoe Joy joined in January of 2024! Smitten is an understatement! We can't get enough of our sweet girls!! You can check out family updates on our blog. Before biological kids, we were Transitional Foster Care parents & loved having 7 children in our home through placements and respite care. As our own children get older, we'd love to do this again!

Motherhood has been one of the very BEST and hardest things I've ever gotten to do! It has given me greater perspective on the value of photographs and how important it is to document seasons of life! Having lost my own mom when I was 15, grandparents passing, health scares, and babies don't keep (wow time slow down!!) I am constantly reminded that life is precious, fragile, and fleeting. Getting to capture it through images is such a privilege because its the one way we can savor the good stuff, the hard stuff and everything in between! Its how we remember loved ones when they pass and such a tangible way to showcase legacy.
