Prairie Stone Farm Wedding | Mr. and Mrs. Brown

Today I get to share a wedding that is different than any I’ve ever shared before because it’s for my brother-in-law!! Just giving you fair warning now that this post is longer than normal and the amount of “!!!” is more excessive than normal- I just couldn’t contain myself 🙂

Last December Drew and I got to photograph Justin and Katie’s proposal and it was such an honor to be a part of documenting another huge day in their lives! Except this time it was their wedding day at Prairie Stone Farm! Drew and I we were both IN the wedding and photographing it (you can read about how and all the logistics here) which made for quite an eventful day!

Here’s some highlights from the day:

  • Being around so many family & friends! This was so much fun!!
  • Praying over Katie with the other bridesmaids and moms before she walked down the isle
  • The Lord provided GREAT weather for the day!! Such an answered prayer
  • Getting to photograph with two of my good friends Kelsie and Katelynn! We were quite the trio 🙂
  • Watching Justin’s face as Katie walked down the isle
  • Hearing/seeing my father-in-law tear up as he officiated the ceremony
  • Drew + JT’s (Justin’s brothers) and Madie’s (Katie’s sister) speeches. They all CRUSHED it!!
  • Watching grandma and grandpa cut the rug- see what I mean below!
  • Cheesecake. Need I say more?
  • Knowing that many prayers were answered with this wedding celebration! Both Justin and Katie’s parents have been praying about who they would marry since before they were born. MANY people have prayed for them during dating and engagement and it’s just so cool to see that play out!

Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Brown!! We love you guys!

HUGE shoutout to the best second shooters Kelsie and Katelynn! They did a ton and photographed huge sections of the day while Drew and I were busy being present in the bridal party (read about the logistics here) Could not have done this without them- so so thankful!

Hope you enjoy one of the BEST days!!!

I love that Justin’s ring has “Forever & Always” engraved on the inside!!

Justin & Katie gifted each other really intentional and sweet presents! Justin wrote letters to Katie consistently from when they very first started dating all the way through their wedding day. He also got her a map of all the national parks because they have the dream to visit all of them together (so fun!). I thought it was really funny but so fitting that Katie also did a journal for Justin. She wrote in it every day from when they got engaged until their wedding day. Watching their reactions during this was so sweet!!

Katie you are STUNNING!!

Kelsie crushed these bridal party pictures!!

The groomsmen were VERY excited about their custom knife gifts!

I photographed majority of Justin & Katie’s portraits in this blog post, but I just LOVE the above shot that Kelsie captured! SO many good ones! Again, can’t express how thankful I am to have worked with such a fantastic team- Katelynn and Kelsie are incredible!

Justin & Katie we hope ya’ll are having a blast in Colorado!! WE LOVE YOU!!

XO,

Mon
