Hey there! I'm so glad you're here! I'm Monica Brown, a wedding photographer from Indianapolis who loves to celebrate couples & photographers. I hope you enjoy browsing through recent work, advice for brides & photographers, and taking a peek into our personal life!
It was pouring rain the day Jeff proposed to Katie in Nashville, Tennessee…so much so that when we took a knee, it literally was submerged in water! So it really seemed so fitting that it was raining the day of their engagement session. Luckily it was a light mist so we didn’t need to reschedule 🙂 The mist and overcast skies actually made for stunning portraits!
It used to be Jeff’s grandma’s ring that he had restored before proposing. I’m probably biased because I received my mom’s engagement ring after she passed/when it was my turn and I think these family heirlooms are SO special!! I love that when you look at rings passed down, you’re constantly reminded of the special woman who wore it before you and the legacy you have the potential to leave.
Katie got these boots after their proposal in Nashville- I love that they were incorporated into their engagement session!
Katie you’re BEAUTIFUL and your laugh is infectious! 🙂
If you look close enough, you can see the misty rain in the background of the image above. These two make the rain look GOOD 🙂
