Wagner Family Reunion in Fontana Village, NC | Memorial Day Weekend

My dad is 1 of 7 kids and every other year we ALL get together for a family reunion! It’s one of my very favorite things and this year was no exception!! Our family is scattered around the world in Ohio, Indiana, Florida, Canada, Georgia, California, and Maryland so we try to find a “central” ish location. This year that landed us in Fontana Village Resort & Marina in North Carolina.

Since we met for Memorial Day weekend we all arrived Friday afternoon and met for dinner together. Saturday most of us went on a hike then all the cousins + their kids went to the pool, played Spikeball, and rested. Since we have such a big group, there’s usually 1-2 plans that anyone can join or you can do your own thing- I love the flexibility/chill vibe that comes with that! Saturday we had a delicious cookout.

Sunday I woke up early with the Smith family and took pictures! Then we all went out on the water and rented 3 pontoon boats. We had a blast tubing, having a picnic, and enjoying the beautiful mountains God created! When we got back we went to the pool again haha. Can’t seem to get enough of the water these days! We had another delicious cookout that evening (my uncle Bryn is a chef and always blows meals out of the park!!). We ended the day (and trip) gathered around a bonfire eating s’mores. Its always sad when its over but I’m so grateful for the time we had together and look forward to the next one!!

Hope you enjoy getting a peek into our crazy, big, loving, family of 34 (missing 5 of the bunch!) Wagner’s!

I was proud of myself for standing…for a few seconds…and then “graciously gliding” off hahah
My cousin Mia, my brothers Dan & Aaron, and my step mom, Kathy!
Uncle Bob killin’ it
Daddy being the best captain!
Uncle Mike & Aunt Olive!
My brother Dan literally laid on his back…such a punk haha
It wouldn’t be a Wagner gathering if there wasn’t Spikeball!
Dog pile on Dan 🙂
We celebrated Van’s birthday Saturday night!
Sweet Bella was feeling under the weather the whole trip but the last night we managed to get some smiles out of her and oh my goodness, she’s a ham!
My cousin Eric, Kyla and their sweet girls Aleida & Mabel. I really can’t handle just how stinkin’ cute these little gals are!! They melt me every time!!
Aunt Jane, Uncle Bryan, Nathan & Alan!
Dad, Kathy, Aunt Jane & Aunt Jan on the left, Cousin Amy & Aunt Beth on the right!
My cousin Brian & Patty!
Gathering to pray before meals
We all collectively decided this would be one of those images they’ll have to recreate in a few years….
So so so grateful for this family!! Missing a few!

Until next time friends!

XO,

Mon
