Hey there! I'm so glad you're here! I'm Monica Brown, a wedding photographer from Indianapolis who loves to celebrate couples & photographers. I hope you enjoy browsing through recent work, advice for brides & photographers, and taking a peek into our personal life!
The four of us met at 100 acre woods in Indianapolis and if you’ve never been, you seriously should go! It was absolutely beautiful. Carrie & Andrew wanted their engagement session at this specific location because it was a really special spot for them. They had several dates there prior to getting engaged. I always love going places that are special to our couples because I feel like I get that much more of a glimpse into their love story.
but when the rain rolled in, we headed to the Museum to take cover. We ended up getting some great shots at the entrance (you’ll see them below!) and I SO wish someone had a behind the scenes shot of it. Carrie and Andrew were under our clear umbrella (we keep 2 in our trunk at all times just in case rain hits during a shoot!) but Andrew’s shoulder was still getting poured on. Meanwhile, I’m as close as I possibly can be to the front door under the awning and Drew is standing behind me holding the other umbrella to protect the camera. When I wanted to move closer, Drew and I had to move in sync. The two security guards standing inside were getting their entertainment for the day!
I’m so excited to spend more time with them in 9 day when they get hitched!! We left their session feeling really excited for them & encouraged. And to top it all of, I got the sweetest text from Carrie and something she said that put a HUGE smile on my face was, ” you made me feel so beautiful.” Nothing makes me happier then when brides-to-be walk away from our time together feeling reminded that they ARE beautiful, valued and loved.
Also, if you’re like me and just HAVE to know where Carrie got her beautiful summer dresses, you can check out the floral print here and the formal dress here.
If you loved this, you’ll love their beautiful Cincinnati school house wedding!
Xoxo
