Hey there! I'm so glad you're here! I'm Monica Brown, a wedding photographer from Indianapolis who loves to celebrate couples & photographers. I hope you enjoy browsing through recent work, advice for brides & photographers, and taking a peek into our personal life!
I’m so excited to finally share these images!! If you missed it, you can check out the Behind the Scenes and the feature on Cake and Lace Blog from our community-based styled shoot!
Here’s some details about this beautiful shoot located at Rolling Meadows Ranch in Lebanon, Ohio:
Our bride and groom models, Andy and Laura Gress, met after Laura burst into laughter when Andy tripped while walking toward her. You know…one of those “this should be in a movie” kind-of scenes. Their first date was at a drive-in. Andy first confessed his love to her while they were on a college spring break trip in North Carolina with their close friends. Their love story could give Nicholas Sparks some serious inspiration!
The two college-sweethearts married at Rolling Meadows Ranch last July, and a year later, they came back to that same place to remember their commitment. As photographers, we believe in documenting every season of life, whether it’s the engagement, the wedding day or an anniversary. Throughout the day, we loved hearing all the silly and sweet memories Madison & Lindsay, Laura’s bridesmaids, had of Laura and Andy.
Madison said, “as her best friend and bride-to-be myself, it’s so cool to see how open and honest Andy and Laura are about marriage. It’s not easy and it’s not perfect. But it is so good and so worth it. I’ve seen them both change for the better during their first year together. I’m excited to keep watching where they go with their ministry and as they continue to change the places they go.” This couple is deeply loved and we so enjoyed incorporating details that reflected their personalities.
In the spirit of community over competition, Kelsie and I had a dream that not only included Laura and Andy, but also 15 other incredibly talented local vendors. We wanted to create a space that encouraged a variety of creatives to come together to participate in something romantic, filled with thoughtful details, warm colors and delicate flowers. The best part? We invited 10 more photographers to photograph it with us! Kelsie and I absolutely loved connecting with so many vendors and photographers in our area. It was an absolute privilege capturing the creative work of each talented vendor and sharing it with the 10 participating photographers!! We can’t wait to do it again in December!

Yet again, Kenzie with Ivory House Creative did an AMAZING job on this ceremony vow backdrop!! State & Arrow attached honeysuckle around the sides to add extra detail. I just love how it all came together!
