What to have ready for your photographer on your wedding day

When we arrive on a wedding day the very first thing I do is photograph all your wedding details. This helps me get into a groove and it really sets the stage for your wedding! These are also the first images that will appear on your wedding blog post the Tuesday (or Thursday) after your big day 🙂

Below I’m sharing a comprehensive list of items you COULD have ready for us when we arrive. Every couple and every wedding is different and special in its own way so please don’t feel confined to this list or feel pressure to have all of these items- that’s SO far from the truth! And so far from the purpose of this blog post!! There is no formula to any of this, my friend!

That being said, the purpose of this post is to get you thinking of the meaningful details you’re including in your big day so you can have them gathered before we arrive. This saves all of us time, confusion, and gives you (and me!) a peace of mind that all of your special details will be documented!

Bride’s Details:

  • Loose flowers (this is one most people don’t think of but if your florist can set aside a few flowers or even leftovers, these will TRANSFORM your detail shots!)
  • Bride Bouquet (it’s also great to have all the bridesmaids flowers as well but this isn’t always possible!)
  • Gown (TIP: be sure to have a nice looking hanger!)
  • Veil
  • Any jewelry you’ll be wearing
  • Hair accessories
  • Shoes
  • All 3 rings (your engagement & BOTH wedding rings, don’t worry I’ll return them right after!)
