Hey there! I'm so glad you're here! I'm Monica Brown, a wedding photographer from Indianapolis who loves to celebrate couples & photographers. I hope you enjoy browsing through recent work, advice for brides & photographers, and taking a peek into our personal life!
It’s still hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that Nora is five! She requested a zoo theme this year, so we went with “Party Animals”—and it was an absolute blast! 🐆🎉
Lately she’s been all about cheetahs, so of course that theme showed up everywhere. She also requested that one of her friends dress up as a mouse (shoutout to Miranda for fully committing 😂)—so really, all animals were welcome!
Bubbles, temporary tattoos, and some impromptu face painting kept the kids entertained for hours. And now that Nora has more opinions, it was extra fun letting her plan the menu: grilled chicken, salad, mac & cheese, and Capri Suns. Gotta say, I’m not mad about her taste!
The Costco cake she picked out herself was a total hit—we didn’t have a single slice left. To know Nora is to love her, and celebrating her “party animal” style was just the best. Hope you enjoy this little recap of her big day (and maybe snag a few ideas if you’re planning your own animal celebration)! 🦓🎈
Invitations (based decor off of this): Etsy | Plates, cups & napkins: Amazon | Little animals with party hats: Amazon | Bubble party favors: Amazon | Animal tattoos: Amazon | Banner: Amazon | Cake: Costco | Animal balloons: Amazon | Food labels: I made them in Photoshop from the invite then printed at Walgreens

The Costco cake was a huge hit! Tastes amazing and free to add your name if you ask!

Left: Great Grammy & Great Grampy, Right: Ava was feeling so sad she didn’t get any presents and Nora was incredibly sweet and shared 1/3 hair accessories she got, which absolutely melted me.
Until next time friends!
Cheers,
Mon
