Hey there! I'm so glad you're here! I'm Monica Brown, a wedding photographer from Indianapolis who loves to celebrate couples & photographers. I hope you enjoy browsing through recent work, advice for brides & photographers, and taking a peek into our personal life!
Jeff & Katie are MARRIED!! We had a great time getting to know these two at their engagement session because they are such fun people to be around! These two had SO many intentional surprises for each other throughout their day. For example, Jeff surprised his bride with a vintage car for portraits and UK sleeves under his jacket. He also made their ceremony arch & engraved their last name “Key” into it. Not to mention the most HILARIOUS garter toss I’ve seen to date (keep scrolling to see what I’m talking about!).
Katie surprised Jeff by customizing his wedding band with their favorite Bible verse in her handwriting and an engraved gun as a gift. For her favorite ladies, Katie worked with Created Bracelets to gift each of them a bracelet with a word she felt described them best/to encourage them. When Katie gave them the bracelets with a letter explaining why she chose that word, tears were flowing!! It was really sweet to witness!
Their Dayton, Ohio wedding venue, Canopy Creek Farm, set a gorgeous backdrop to their special day. We ended the night with a stunning sunset (thanks, God!) and lots of dancing. Speaking of dancing, Katie and her dad’s Father-Daughter dance was SO sweet. When Katie was in middle school, her dad was deployed to Iraq for 2 years. Katie was at a school dance and was called to the front. All the sudden, her dad popped out because he was HOME. They proceeded to hug, laugh, cry, and then danced to “Butterfly Kisses.” Katie’s mom said, “I’ve never seen so many 12-year old boys cry” haha. It was only fitting they danced to that same song on her wedding day. I hope you enjoy re-living this special couple’s big day!
